Day 227 - Silver heart necklace

This was the silver heart pendant I bought at the weekend from Hobbycraft which I strung on a chain last night. I am wearing a top, I promise!!

Day 157 - Blue heart necklace

Oooh, there's a random blue theme this week isn't there! I've been wearing white ankle socks and red trainers all over the bank holiday weekend so maybe that's why I subliminally went for blue jewellery!

This actually came free with 'Making Jewellery' magazine - I picked it up yesterday from the shop and made the necklace last night. I've already had lots of compliments and I like the fact its a bit Rob Ryan-esque with the cut out design.

Day 129 - Wired heart necklace

This was another of the pieces I made using the findings and pendants from Smitten Beads. Just a simple and classic necklace but I like the punky twist of having the heart made of twisted wire. I never used to wear non silver coloured jewellery (unless it was the rare piece of gold) but I really like the antiqued brass style of these pieces. Which is good as I got a few bits n bobs and I'll be wearing them!

Apologies in advance for the next few days. I have my friends hen weekend so I will hopefully get a chance to post tomorrow but after that I probably won't be able to until Sunday, or more likely, Monday. Hope you have a fab rest of the week and enjoy the weekend!

Day 89 - Accessorize heart necklace

This was a present from my oldest (as in longest serving as opposed to being elderly!) friend and her children who we refer to as my fairy godchildren as they're not a religious family so I can't be godmother, therefore I must be Fairy Godmother! I like the sound of this. Although I don't get a wand or anything. It's a lovely pale gold necklace made up of interlocking hearts and its from one of my favourites, Accessorize.

Day 45 - Silver heart necklace

Well, it is Valentine's Day after all. I don't know where this one is from as it was an anniversary present from the husband. It has a matching set of earrings and I like the fact its simple and small.

I always admire people who have one really subtle classy necklace that they always wear - I sometimes think I should try to be like that and with this necklace I did try...but I just can't, I have an unabashed obsession with having to wear lots of different things. I suppose if I was different I would be much richer, but maybe my life (and certainly my wardrobe) wouldn't be...

Day 13 - Silver heart pendant

This is another one of my own creations although all I did was put the bead on a chain so I can't really take too much credit! The heart bead was from a bead shop in Brighton and I have just strung it on a silver wire with a small round bead at the end, the top of the wire then loops over a silver snake chain. I like the fact it's really simple and I made it up the night before I wore it as I was wearing a very red outfit and thought it would be nice to have a heart in there to compliment it! It's quite heavy and I like that its a bit battered - most of us have battered hearts by the time we reach 30!
