Only two days to go until Christmas!! I've been mixing it up a bit this week a I know I am more fond of necklaces than any other piece of jewellery, although one (well, strictly speaking, its two) has managed to sneak in!
My Shop of the Week this week is Primark. Granted it's hell on earth to fight your way in to one of these at the best of times, not least in the run up to Christmas, but you really can't beat it for on-trend, cheap accessories. When you're off to a million and one parties this month (not that I am, I'm knackered and look like I have a rugby ball up my top!) then its good to be able to mix and match without breaking the bank. They are also fab for Secret Santa presents too.
This week it's been (top to bottom); blue wooden bead earrings (hand made), silver chunky bracelet (Jon Richard), gold bangles (part of a set from Jon Richard), green glass earrings (hand made), wooden blue bead bracelet (hand made), silver and gold necklace (charity shop) and brown bead necklace worn as bracelet (Next).
I got this bangle from a craft fair, I like that it's a little bit tribal! It's not the best photo here but there are lots of different patterns inscribed and I like the shape of it too, its really unusual.
This is another charity shop find. You can only really get away with wearing a bangle like this when its sunny can't you!
This is super old, I think I got it at university. Its just a nice simple silver torque bangle from Oasis with crystals on the ends.
I'm going away for a few days for my friends wedding so I'll have to do the next few days' posts when I get back. I'll be wearing the jewllery I showed you earlier in the year (I've made it for me and my fellow bridesmaids) so you'll get to see the full effect of earrings, necklace and bracelet all together!
I honestly don't know where these are from but I am going to guess that they could have been very old Accessorize purchases. We're talking about 10 years ago! I like the slightly tribal style and pattern on the disc - its really tactile but not too heavy or annoying!
I really like this one although I can't really wear it much as its so statement-y. And I can't wear it for work as it would drive me mad! It's from Joy and it makes me chuckle.
I'm not sure where this is from, its probably somewhere like Boots or New Look or Dorothy Perkins though. It came in a set with different sized bangles but I just fancied wearing the one today.
I'm not feeling too great so wasn't capable of much thought at all really when I got up. I've thrown on an outfit I wish I wasn't wearing (chiffon dress over a slip - am really conscious of it getting cuaght when I sit down or it blowing up in the air on my way home!) and my jewellery choice today was equally uninspired. Must try harder!!
