Day 83 - Asda pink enamel flower necklace

I realised that my entire outfit is almost all supermarket finds today - I'm not sure if that repulses me or makes me feel smugly proud!

This is a relatively large pale pink enamel flower pendant on a thick wire - and it was from Asda last year (or maybe the year before). I'm wearing it today with this dress (also from Asda). I am regretting leaving my sunglasses at home though as its so nice outside. Hurry up home-time I say!

Day 82 - Accessorize flower earrings

Oh look, another Accessorize purchase! I'm going to stop linking through to Accessorize as at this rate they are probably doing a fine business out of me - and lets face it, given the amount of stuff I have from there, they already have!

These are a dark brass metal and have small crystals to make up a flower shape - I thought that given the weather it would be nice to do something floral today.

Day 81 - Smokey quartz earrings

I made these a while ago and forgot I had them - eeeek, I've been doing a lot of that recently.

They're just simple drop earrings with smokey quartz beads and small silver beads between each one. I'm wearing a grey and black dress today so they work quite well although I'm wishing I was wearing something more summery as its flipping gorgeous outside today!

Day 80 - long grey beaded multistrand necklace

This was one of my charity shop finds. The light is realyl bad but I was in a huge rush this morning so I couldn't re-take the photo! It's a 5 strange long necklace made up of different size grey beads all strung at different lengths. This dress, whilst lovely, can be a bit 'blocky' so it's nice to wear something long to break it up a bit.

Day 79 - Accessorize Peacock pendant

This is another Accessorize purchase, it's not the best lighting in this shot but its strung on a vintage gold style chain, with a body covered in blue crystals and then the tail is made up of individual feathers that graduate from teal to purple. Its very tactile and handy for meetings - I find myself stroking it like Dr Evil when I'm thinking!!

The Sunday Summary

This week my shop of the week goes to the smashing Strawberry Lane UK, which is run by a friend and who makes lovely jewellery. I adore my butterfly earrings and am a bit sad I can't wear them more because of this challenge! If you need to get buying presents I can't recommend Katie and her amazing jewellery enough!

Day 78 - Handmade pewter and blue stone earrings

These are probably the most J-Lo earrings I have, I made them using some pewter earring parts and some simple small blue stone beads hung underneath. I don't wear them very often but it was nice to wear them today with the sun shining...I could at least try to conjure up the image that this weather is actually getting better!

Day 77 - Accessorize butterfly necklace

This is the necklace that forms part of the matching set with these earrings. It's from Accessorize and always gets lovely comments. It feels like the right time to be wearing it now the weather is a bit more spring like!

Day 76 - Brown tigers eye necklace

I made this a while back but I haven't really worn it so it was nice to pop it back on again - like finding a new piece of jewellery! It's mostly made up of tigers eye gemstones with some brown and gold pearls and orange/brown crystals too.

Day 75 - Lola Rose earrings

As with my other Lola Rose items, these were also from London Fashion Weekend last year. I was gutted I couldn't make it this year but I could barely move at the time because of my back so I had to admit defeat. I like the vaguely 60s hippy style of these earrings and they perfectly match my dress today so I am happy...Plus who doesn't want to wear flowers when its so sunny outside!

Day 74 - Leafy earrings

I made these to match the silver leaf necklace from The Silvery. The leaves are silver and I've string them on wire with some green glass beads and green pearls too. I like the fact they are nice and light and I love the detail in the leaves too!

Day 73 - Turquoise necklace

I made this a little whole ago but I don't wear it that often as it is a bit 'statement-y'. But hey, I fancied wearing something a bit loud today, so why not! I made it using real turquoise round stones strung on wire with silver beads between them. Then I added the larger teardrop pendant.

Day 72 - handmade amethyst chip necklace

I made this some time ago but its a style I like to come back to now and again. today it really works with my outfit so I thought I'd pop it on although I also have a matching bracelet that I may wear another time!

The light makes it hard to see in this photo but its made with small purple beads and then every so often I've added an amethyst chip. I've strung it on three strands of wire and it can sit eithrr twisted into one chain or in a multi-strand way like I am wearing it today.

The Sunday Summary

Well, after my bargainous ring yesterday (which doesn't break the rules as it was a present!), I think the Shop of the Week this week has to be Azendi. I've only ever got one other piece from there but I love how it has such a big range and it covers off lots of different price levels. They have lots of classics as well as some great trend led pieces too - such as this fab honeycomb style. I'm sure there are lots of pieces that would make perfect mothers day presents...!

Day 71 - Azendi white topaz stacker ring

The husband bought me this yesterday, at the Azendi store in Westfield (White city). Everything was half price so I had a bit of a field day! I really like how simple the cut is and whilst I do like the idea of stacking rings, as I have quite short stumpy fingers, I reckon I can pull off just wearing the one so much better!

Day 70 - Pearl birdy bracelet

I made this bracelet using some pearls and another of the bird pendants. It's a nice simple piece that makes me smile when I wear it and as its pearls its pretty neutral, plus I can use it to dress up an outfit!

Day 69 - Beaded leaf necklace

This is another of my own creations - I really like the leaf pendant, it's a muted gold green, almost metal like and I strung it on a wire with green pearls and some green crystals. I even found a really nice leaf clasp so that's at the back (you obviously can't see it in this picture). This piece was probably one of the first ones that I planned and executed rather than just made through a bit of playing. I really like it and usually wear it a lot. I like how it feels really autumnal!

Day 68 - Glass bead necklace

I'm trying to work out what colour this is - I guess mocha is quite a close guess? Apologies for the off centre image, I think it was because I was slightly distracted by the rash on my chest (seriously, I nearly went and got a glass to do 'the test'!), but thankfully by the time I got to work it had gone. How random.

Anyway, this is one of my own creations which I forgot I had until yesterday when I was rooting around for something to wear to match a dress. It's quite simple and I really want to find an eye shadow in the same shade of pale, shimmery brown!! Any ideas?!

Day 67 - Oliver Bonas necklace

Finally, I've worn the necklace that matches these earrings and this bracelet!

The lighting is quite bad in this shot but you can see how it picks up the detail in both the bracelet and the earrings without being ridiculously matchy-matchy.

I like the vintage and antique feel to it and its nice to have now worn the whole set!

Day 66 - multi-strand beaded necklace

This was another one of my early pieces, I stumbled upon it last night and thought it would be nice to wear it with my grey and black stripy M&S frock that you've seen on here before! Normall I'll wear a long necklace over it but I thought I'd be controversial for a change and go short.

Day 65 - Accessorize earrings

I got these earrings a few years ago after a former colleague got me the matching bracelet for a secret santa gift (the boy did good!). I happened to see the matching earrings in the Christmas sale so figured I'd get the set - maybe I'll wear the bracelet later this week...

The Sunday Summary

It's been a busy old day today - we went back to our wedding venue to take part in their Spring Wedding Fair which was great fun, but tiring! We got to spend time with the people who helped us to put our wedding together as well as see our lovely cake maker and photographer again! It has meant that I've not had a chance to plan a tutorial so we're back to Shop of the Week...

In case you hadn't guessed already, my shop of the week this week is definitely The Silvery. I'm in love with pretty much everything they sell, but especially their shell necklaces and charm bracelets. I especially love them as they do just have the best customer service imaginable. I am known as a bit of a complainer and I will stand up for my customer rights if I think I'm getting a bad deal (seriously, I reckon I must be blacklisted from a  few places!), but when I get good customer service I will shout it from the rooftops. I personally think being nice and helpful should be what we all do on a regular basis but I do appreciate that some people don't give a monkeys. Good customer service really shouldn't be rocket science but it does amaze me how many people are bad at it. The Silvery are the exact opposite. I had to get a present for a colleague after the original gift idea fell through literally at the last minute. Jules and the team at The Silvery not only helped us find the perfect present they also got it sent out to us immediately so they saved the day - and my colleague loved it! If you're looking for something, maybe a Mothers Day present, then definitely check them out - you won't be disappointed!

Day 64 - Birdy necklace

I made this yesterday actually! I got the birds in bulk from a seller on eBay and the chain I bought in Brighton. I was bored last night so had a bit of a play and made a few things, including a matching bracelet to go with this necklace and some other pieces I may wear soon!

I think the bird pendant is really cute and it makes me smile and that's what I really like about jewellery - how it can perk you up if you're feeling a bit poo. And it gives me the opportunity to get both bird and poo in the same post: WIN!

Day 63 - stacking bracelets

I can't remember where these are from - they were one of my many pre-wedding purchases that I thought might work for my bridesmaids but I decided to keep for myself! I think they may be from Aldo or Oasis.

I like that the pewter finish makes them look a little like branches of a tree and that the stones are quite sparse and simple. They are a bit too jangly to be able to wear them a lot but when I do wear them you can certainly hear me coming!

Day 62 - red stone bracelet

I made this bracelet using silver beads and red gem stone chips, strung on some elastic. I like the fact it looks a liitle bit like something a cavewoman would wear! You can't really make out the colours too clearly on this photo but the stones are a vibrant red colour. I'm wearing a red dress today so hooray for colour blocking!

Day 61 - Oliver Bonas earrings

These are the earrings that match this bracelet I wore earlier in the challenge. They are also from the lovely Oliver Bonas and have really good 'dangle factor'. You know when you have dangly earrings on that they don't feel too light or too heavy - you can swish your head around and they don't feel like they hurt or are going to fly off. Well that, my friends, is good dangle factor.
